Party pix: Macy's Great Tree Lighting
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Macy's State Street flagship. The 105th annual Great Tree Lighting took place Saturday afternoon, with guests gathered in the historic Walnut Room to watch the 45-foot tannenbaum illuminated with glittering stars. Speaking of stars, powerful singer Chris Mann (of NBC's The Voice fame) sang songs from his new holiday album and assisted a special Make-A-Wish child flick the switch on the Great Tree. The event served as Macy's official holidays kickoff, with an unveiling of the anticipated animated windows displays along State Street and the opening of SantaLand, where kids lined up for their photo opp with Jolly Old St. Nick.
