Burberry's splashy grand opening soiree
The gorgeous new Burberry flagship got its Mag Mile christening Thursday evening with a major event hosted by chief creative officer Christopher Bailey. The fete featured Burberry's innovative digital platform, "Art of the Trench," showcasing prominent Chicagoans modeling their iconic coats. A "khaki" carpet reception of Hollywood proportions commanded attention on Michigan Avenue, while celebs, models and mere mortals posed in front of -- what else? -- a plaid-embossed backdrop.
