The ads in the May 19 Sunday Chicago Tribune are full of good deals and coupons. Here are the highlights.
Target: Starbucks gift card
If you buy four bags of Starbucks coffee for $7.99 each, get a $10 Starbucks gift card. There was a coupon in last weekend's SmartSource for $2 off two bags, so if you still have it, you can get the four bags for about $30. If you have two of that coupon, you can get four bags for $28. Then deduct the $10 Starbucks gift card's value, and it's like you paid $14 for four bags of coffee -- or $3.50 each.
If you don't have coupons, this deal is like paying $5.49 per bag -- still pretty good for Starbucks brand beans.
You can also get Target gift cards for buying these products and brands: Kellogg's cereal, Align probiotic, Claritin, Banana Boat sunblock, Aveeno lotion, Mr. Coffee, Yonanas, a Rachael Ray cookset, Brita, NutriBullet, Dash Juice Extractor, Magic Bullet, iPod Touch, Sonos Play:3, or a Western Digital portable hard drive.
ShopKo: Oneida flatware
This week's hot buy is a 62-piece Oneida Tress flatware set for $59.99, $110 off regular price.
Kmart: 99-cent flip flops
Basic flip-flop sandals are half-price this week for just adults and kids, at just 99 cents.
CVS: Nail polish and hair color
There are two hot deals you can get at CVS this week by combining coupons with the store's ExtraBucks rewards program.
First, if you buy $10 worth of Sally Hansen cosmetics, you get $5 ExtraBucks. Nude and Natural nail color is $3.99, so if you buy three of them for $11.97, you'll qualify for the $5 ExtraBucks back. So even without coupons, you can get three bottles of nail polish for $6.97 after deducting the value of the ExtraBucks you receive.
If you save your coupon inserts (We recommend that you do!), clip the coupon from the May 5 RedPlum for $4 off nail color. Use one of these coupons and your final cost comes down to $2.97 for three nail polishes. Use two coupons, and you actually make money on this deal.
Another good one from this week's ad is Revlon Luxurious Colorsilk Buttercream hair color, on sale for $4.49. You get $2 ExtraBucks for buying it, bringing your real cost down to $2.49.
If you have the $2 coupon from last week's SmartSource insert, you'll pay only $2.49 and get $2 back, for a final cost of just $.49!
Thanks to Couponing for 4 for this deal idea.
